Just Checking In...

How are things going in English 10? What are some of your goals for the last six weeks of the semester? What would you like to accomplish in our class, and what can I do to help you meet your goals?

Thanks for your feedback!

Things in English 10 are pretty good i guess. I just want to get a good grade and just pass this class. I would like to acomplish getting better at writing thesis statements, and what you could do is not pile on the homework and teach us more about them in class.

English 10 is going pretty good for me this year. I am really enjoying it and I like the discussions we have in class. I also like using the laptops. My notes are very organized that way. My goal for the last 6 weeks is to develop my writing skills.

English 10 is going really well for me. I really enjoy the class altogether. I've learned how to discuss better and write clearer. My goal for the last six weeks is to just keep up with learning how to write better and to finish off the semester with a good grade in the class.

English 10 is going really well for me. Like Hilary, I really enjoy using the laptops. It makes things much more interactive and fun. My goal is to maintain my grade that I have now, and continue to improve my writing. I think you're doing a great job already.

English 10 is going really pretty well for the this semester. Like Hilary said, I really enjoy the laptops as well of some of the discussions we have in class. My goal for these last six weeks is to learn how to write with more passion and also how to make my writing more interesting.

English 10 this year is easier for me than last year because I was in the Integrated class. The writing skills from last year really helped and this year I would like to improve on my writing skills and beable to understand books with a lot more complex words such as ones that we just learned. Maybe to include all these new vocab words into my head and put them in my writing. The laptops are pretty new to me. I have not used one at all before and since I am getting used to them now, I am starting to really like it better than writing everything down to where your hand starts cramping up. I would like to learn more writing techniques and I would like to pass this class with a really good grade so colleges will notice that I am strong in the English classes.

Well English is going pretty well but i would like to have a better grade then i do. I guess i am having a really hard time keeping with all of the different things we are doing. I feel really stressed. Next semester i would like to be able to understand the books we read better, its just so hard to do that when we go as fast as we did with Fahrenheir 451.

Well, things are going pretty good I suppose. If those Bloods stop beating me up and taking all my old school rap and reburning new school hip-hop onto the discs that would awesome and I think that would Mos Def (rapper reference #1) help me stop crying myself to sleep with a bucket of Chunky Monkey at my side. But in English 10 I do suppose things could be a whole lot better I mean last year in my English 9 class there were a lot more people who accepted my weirdness than there are currently in this place. I mean what’s the point in acting strange if no one will buy into it? Oh well, I guess I better go make some dresses. See? If I was in my English 10 class right now I bet Licorice Man would be all like, “What the hell?” and there would be a few perplexed looks and maybe the whipped cream dude would join me in designing dresses. But I do suppose English 10 is fun I mean asides from my complete boredom during the class. I fell like all I do is sit there and drift off and write when I’m told. It’s not life changing, it’s just there. Ya know?

Aww, I’m just playing Ms. Lelcaire. Your English 10 class totally rocks. Why do you think I show up ever day? I have not missed one and unless I find out I have cancer or if I have just been shot by those you know who (see above) I might not show up. Actually, on second thought, I would go to class because at least I would be enjoying myself while I die. But please, don’t put me in a dress after I die. And don’t bury me or burn me or anything like that. Sell me to a bunch of cannibals or something, get some use out of me. I don’t care, because I can’t. But anyways, my goals for the next six weeks, is for one, not to die. And most importantly never find myself bored in class, or actually in my life. Even if it means saying the most radical thing to get a rise out of people or actually making a dress and wearing it. Just to keep things different and never be bored. My third goal actually applies to the rest of the year. Not miss one day of class. If I miss one day of class no matter what I will let the whole class beat me up or something (nothing can be worse than those you know whos(see above)). My fourth would be to always turn in my work even if all I have is a crayon drawing of the assassination of Abraham Lincoln and the assignment was a 12 page essay on how to write essays or something like that I’m pretty sure you know what I mean. Like, some credit is better than none, and that is how I live half of my life. Only because well, ya know, some credit is better than none. So that’s basically all my goals relating to English 10 now on to my critique of Ms. Leclaire and how she makes us read books about burning books. What kind of message is she trying to tell us? I don’t get it.
Oh yeah, almost forgot, on a side note. I agree with all the people who posted above me. Everything they said, except if they said we should skin babies alive then I will say, “NO! No way! No way in ****** **** are we going to do that! I am disturbed and offended! What is wrond with you dude?! You don’t say stuff like that, you don’t even commit it to blog comments! I need to watch something happy, where is my Dexter dvd?”
Leclaire, the only thing you can do to help me achieve these goals is if those guys (see above, you should know where to look by know, God da…[censorship is in these days]) come by asking for me say I went that way and point in a direction that I am not currently in preferably the opposite direction. But keep doing these blog things so that way I can get all this clutter out my head and be ready for the serious writing assignments. For real though you are in my top ten English teachers. I know what you might be thinking, that I’m only in tenth grade and that’s the number of English teachers I have had. But how about this you are in my top two. The only way you can beat Ms. Graham is if you say something extremely funny. I can’t quite remember what she said but trust me, it was funny. Sure not funny enough for memory but it was super funny. I was laughin’. I was totally laughin’ hard. because it was just too funny. You had to have been there. But really you have got things covered for me so I do not have to worry about failing your class. And if you look at this comment of mine I only have one rap reference. And that is a lot like what I need you to do to help me with my jumble of goals. To be a wicked awesome, super good aeeeee (that means good in Japanese crazy talk, wild cool hip cat beatnik humorous commentator, nice humble almost angel like not rude but respectful and inspirational teacher. So to conclude, my number references to rap culture is quite like Ms. Leclaire and her requirements for this year.

English 10 is going good for me. I like the grade that I have and I like using the laptops. Also I like the different quick writes and activities we do, so I say keep that up for sure. I’d like to become a better writer as the year goes on, and get more from what I read, as well as keep the grade I have.

I Think Our English 10 Class Is One Of The More Fun And Relaxing Classes. Probably One Of The Best To Have In The Morning. I Find It To Be Quite Engaging, Making It Easy To Keep Awake. I Also Think This Class Is Probably One Of The More Educational Classes, Due To The Benefits Of Laptops. I Think That's Definitely A Plus For The Class. My Goal For This Class In The Next 6 Weeks Is To Keep Up This Work, And Not Have What Normally Happens Occur. You Know, Where After About Halfway Through, Everyone Stops Trying, And Grades Go Down. So That's Pretty Much It. And I Think That's Pretty Good.

Class is BORING.

Just kidding Kakos. English 10 is going fine. Nothing to complain about, nothing to rave and go madly happy about. All in all it is fine. My goal for the last 6 weeks hasn't changed form the last 6 weeks. It is really simple; I want to keep an A in this class no matter what. In order to help me reach this goal, make the class fun. I get bored and don't do my homework in I am not engaged in it, so keep doing what your doing. Keep the class interactive and things should go great. YAY…

This year has been interesting for me since I used to have english sixth hour and if I forgot to do something than I would have the rest of the day to finish it. Bur because it is in the morning now I find that I usually forget what the homework is and I don't really have time to do it. But other than that its been a pretty good class, and all I really want out of it is a good grade and maybe a better understanding of english. But if that doesn't happen than thats okay, life goes on.
